Two circles joined by a neck four metres across that the field meets head-on, twice a lap, running in opposite directions — not at the same instant, usually, and "usually" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Everything that happens at this circuit happens in about eight metres of road, and everything that matters happens in about two.
